Partnership from Series A to Series C

Project description

Looking to scale their increasingly popular solution and eventually power 30 million companies nationwide, Vestwell enlisted Vention’s help to optimize their end-to-end product.

Our software experts first evaluated and refactored product code to increase agility, security, and speed across the entire development life cycle. Next, we engineered three advanced recordkeeping modules — for companies, employees, and Vestwell’s own operational team — as well as integrated the client’s existing infrastructure with third-party HR and payroll systems.

The broad project scope also involved adding state retirement plans and implementing integrations with the Voya and Franklin financial platforms. All this enabled Vestwell to further grow their relevance with end users, while driving loyalty and, ultimately, revenue.

The result

Having supported Vestwell since its Series A, we’ve had a front-row seat as the company has grown into the No. 1 digital recordkeeping provider in the US.

In 2020, Vestwell reached 200% overall growth, while in 2021, they raised a $70M Series C led by Wall Street giants like Wells Fargo, Goldman Sachs, and Morgan Stanley. In 2022, Vestwell was on track to achieve 3x client growth again, helping a record number of small businesses and individual savers across the United States.
