Alex Shingel

Alex Shingel is a project manager expert at Vention, specializing in IT development, AI/ML integration, and large-scale platform management. With extensive experience in software engineering and project leadership, Alex has been instrumental in delivering innovative solutions across education and healthcare domains.

At Vention, Alex was pivotal in the Kids Academy project, a comprehensive educational platform for children aged four to 12. He oversaw the development of mobile apps (iOS and Android), web platforms, payment system integrations, and compliance with educational and security standards. What's more, Alex spearheaded early experiments with neural networks, setting the stage for adaptive learning tools.

Since 2018, Alex has also been leading the medtech project — a cutting-edge platform for surgical assistance and healthcare optimization. Key contributions include integrating MS Azure, enabling surgeons to communicate via MS Teams, and developing 3D CT/MRI visualization tools compatible with browsers and MS HoloLens. Alex also led the creation of advanced video recording systems for laparoscopic surgeries, cloud storage solutions, and custom neural networks for analyzing surgical video streams, enhancing hospital resource efficiency.

In addition to his technical expertise, Alex has played a key role in driving compliance initiatives, supporting clients in achieving critical certifications such as ISO-27001, SOC II Type 1 & Type 2, and HIPAA.

Alex's career began in 1995 as a C++ developer, designing software to automate galvanic-chemical plants for German clients. He later moved into developing self-service kiosks, honing his skills in .Net, C#, and C++ while progressing into project manager roles.
