The 2025 In:Vention Incubator is a three-month program offering the selected winner access to Vention’s custom software development services with the approximate market value of $150K USD, or EUR or GBP equivalent.
Eligibility criteria:

Companies incorporated in Germany, the UK, or the US;

In business for no more than 10 years;

Operating in selected industries/sectors lawfully, are not subject to restrictions that would prevent participation, and maintain all necessary licenses and permits.

How do I apply?
Fill out the entry form with as much detail as possible about your project. You are expected to complete all required fields and confirm your acceptance of the contest’s Official Rules and our Privacy Policy.
When do submissions open and close?
Submissions open on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 12:00 AM ET and close on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 11:59 PM ET.
Who is eligible to enter the 2025 In:Vention Incubator?
The contest is open to companies incorporated in Germany, UK and any state of the US, including DC, provided they operate lawfully, are not subject to restrictions that would prevent participation, and maintain all necessary licenses and permits required by applicable laws and regulations.
Companies must be in operation for no more than ten (10) years and work within the following industries/sectors:

Manufacturing

Real Estate

Telecommunications
Vention reserves the right to disqualify any Participant whose business operations fall within certain fields or subindustries of the identified industries/sectors if, in Vention’s judgment, engagement with such fields or subindustries may pose legal, regulatory, or reputational risks to Vention.
Not eligible to participate in the contest:

Current or former clients of Vention;

Companies owned or controlled, directly or indirectly, by employees, contractors, officers, directors, their immediate family members, or members of the same household of Vention group of companies;

Companies subject to economic, trade, or financial sanctions, or those Vention is prohibited from doing business with.

Federal, regional, state, local, and other governmental agencies, governmental and state-affiliated organizations and entities, political parties, and political consulting and lobbying firms.

Can I apply more than once?
No. Each participant may submit only one application. Additional submissions will be disqualified.
How many winners will be selected?
Only one (1) winner will be selected for the 2025 In:Vention Incubator. This approach guarantees that our support results in significant and tangible advancements for the winner.
How will the winner be selected?
The winner will be selected from among all eligible entries received based on the following process:
The evaluation of each entry will be made by selected team of competent judges based on the following judging criteria: readiness (20%); innovation (20%); market potential (20%); feasibility and scalability (20%); and quality and clarity of the presentation (20%).
Each judge will evaluate each eligible entry independently based on their professional experience, rating each rubric of the judging criteria by assigning it a score from 1 to 5 (with 1 being the lowest score possible and 5 being the highest score possible).
The participant with the highest total score will be selected as the winner.
In the event of a tie between eligible entries with the highest score, an additional judge or judges will be engaged to evaluate the tied entries based on the judging criteria described above until the tie is broken. All decisions are final and binding.

When will participants be notified of ‘winner’ status?
The winner will be notified via the contact information provided in the entry form by July 14, 2025. Please keep an eye on your email, as well as our social channels and our official landing page for updates.
What is the post-competition process?
Once the 2025 In:Vention Incubator winner is selected, we’ll be your partner every step of the way. Find the full outline of post-competition activities in the Official Rules, under “Winner Notification. Dates and Deadlines.”
What is the prize for the contest?
The prize is custom software development services. The duration of the services is three months. Vention will select and assign a team of up to three software engineers to perform the services. The exact scope and objectives of the services will be mutually defined by the winner and Vention based on the details of the winner’s entry.
The approximate market value of the prize is $150K USD, or EUR or GBP equivalent. The prize is not exchangeable, transferable, substitutable, or redeemable for cash. Any difference between the stated market value and the actual value of the prize will not be awarded.
Only one prize will be awarded in the 2025 In:Vention Incubator.

When can I start services upon winning?
Services will begin on a date mutually agreed by Vention and the winner after all the post-competition activities referred to in question “What is the post-competition process?” above have been completed, but no earlier than August 1, 2025.
