Vention names Paul Lunow as Chief Technology Officer to oversee its DACH region
Berlin, Germany, September 17, 2025 — Vention, a global provider of custom software development services, today announced the appointment of Paul Lunow as Chief Technology Officer for its DACH region. He will spearhead the company’s technical vision and strategy in the region, working closely with clients to deliver scalable, high-impact digital solutions.
Paul joins Vention with a proven track record of guiding startups, mid-sized companies, and enterprises through transformative technology decisions. As DACH CTO, he will be responsible for shaping client technology strategies, leading discovery processes, and ensuring engineering excellence across a wide range of engagements. His leadership will also advance Vention’s growing portfolio of AI-driven solutions in the region, including workshops and advisory support that help organizations harness artificial intelligence for growth, efficiency, and innovation.
In this role, Paul will collaborate closely with Glyn Roberts, Vention’s UK CTO and head of the company’s AI Group. Together, they will further integrate AI enablement into Vention’s engineering practices, empowering clients across Europe to stay at the forefront of emerging technologies while maintaining the highest standards of quality and accountability.

“Paul’s appointment underscores our deep commitment to the DACH region and our clients’ evolving needs. His expertise in both technology leadership and AI strategy makes him the ideal partner for businesses seeking to scale and innovate with confidence.”
Paul’s leadership will be showcased publicly at the upcoming CTO Craft Con in Berlin, where he will deliver a keynote session titled “Building High-Trust Teams in an AI-Enabled Engineering Org.” His talk will explore real-world practices for fostering psychological safety, encouraging experimentation, and enabling human-AI collaboration within engineering teams — all while balancing the imperatives of accountability, ethics, and autonomy.
“I’m thrilled to join Vention at such a pivotal moment for both the company and the DACH tech ecosystem.
Engineering teams today face the challenge of integrating AI responsibly without compromising trust or creativity. My goal is to help our clients and teams not only adapt to these changes but thrive in them.”
With this appointment, Vention strengthens its regional leadership and reaffirms its mission: helping innovative startups and enterprises build, scale, and optimize technology solutions through world-class engineering.
Prior to Vention, Paul served in several senior engineering roles; founded tech hub, Ape Unit GmbH; led as CEO and CTO at NEPOS GmbH; and most recently was Head of Technology and Innovation at XU Group. Paul is also a co-host on the podcast, Product and Cake, delving into what it takes to develop successful tech products and the people behind them.
