As part of Vention’s mission to foster sharper, faster, and more human-centred tech leadership across Europe, TechTisch made its Berlin debut.

Following successful editions in New York, London, and Vienna, the Berlin gathering brought the same signature format to the city’s vibrant start-up and scale-up scene. The evening offered a carefully curated dinner where tech leaders could step away from slides, panels, and polished pitches — and get real about what’s working, what isn’t, and what’s next.

On 10 April, a handpicked group of CTOs, founders, senior engineers, and technology executives came together at the acclaimed KINK Bar & Restaurant for an off-the-record evening of candid conversation and meaningful exchange.

The theme of the night? How GenAI is reshaping the way we build software, lead teams, and drive innovation.

Glyn Roberts, Vention’s CTO, structured the conversation around three prompts, each served up between courses:

  • How is your team improving its development processes?

  • What would help you or your team move faster?

  • What does the future of development look like — and when, if ever, will LLMs replace developers?

What we heard around the table

From automation to impact

Guests shared how they leverage GenAI tools to automate routine tasks, freeing developers to focus on more complex challenges. A strong theme emerged: successful adoption depends not only on technology, but on cultivating a culture of continuous learning and adaptability.

Building momentum without breaking things

Next, the discussion turned to speed: how improved tooling, clearer communication, and streamlined workflows can enable teams to move faster, without sacrificing quality or stability.

Developers still have the edge

Despite the rapid rise of large language models, one thing was clear: developers aren’t going anywhere. Human judgement, creativity, and strategic thinking remain irreplaceable, especially where nuance and ethics come into play.

What’s cooking next?

TechTisch Berlin was a timely reminder of the value these conversations bring. In a landscape defined by constant change, creating space to reflect, share, and connect isn’t a luxury — it’s essential.

To everyone who joined us: thank you for your insight, candour, and brilliant contributions. To those eager to join a future edition: keep an eye on our socials as the next table is already being set, and we’d love to see you there.
