Project description
Back in 2014, NY-based startup Convene realized that traditional offices and meeting spaces were no longer able to meet the evolving needs of an increasingly flexible workforce. Confident that there was more room for innovation in commercial real estate, they set out to provide businesses of all shapes and sizes with the kind of on-demand, high-end amenities previously only enjoyed by unicorn tech startups.
Backed by a decade’s worth of proptech expertise, Vention was best positioned to lead this ambitious project. Bringing together a range of cross-functional talent from our software, DevOps, and QA units, we built Convene's online booking solution from the ground up, integrating it with Stripe for more streamlined payment management.
Next, the team implemented Salesforce CRM to automate booking, tax calculation, and property tracking — all of which dramatically increased Convene’s efficiency in a very short timeframe.
In order to support their continued growth, we also developed native iOS and Android apps to help landlords, tenants, and visitors manage all property-related activities easily in one place. As our final step, we fine-tuned the Cafe application, enabling Convene users to seamlessly handle onsite culinary services.
The result
With these powerful new tools, Convene cemented their position as the go-to place to work, meet, and host events for the likes of Amazon, Deloitte, and Netflix.
