Yan Telles is a marketing manager and writer at Vention. Nurturing an unyielding passion for linguistics and technology since his kindergarten years, fate would later have him earn his advertising degree in the same building where the Lua programming language was created.
Yan kicked off his vocation freelancing as a marketing manager for Rock in Rio, South America’s iconic entertainment festival, and quickly became a content creator at Brazil’s National Bank for Economic and Social Development, the world’s second largest of its kind. In pursuit of an international career, he graduated best-in-class in creative copywriting at Miami Ad School, winning gold awards as a student in Latin American advertising festivals with work in three languages.
Through stints at Ogilvy New York and French ad agency BETC, Yan penned campaigns for Peugeot, Citroën, and Hershey’s, before accepting a cold call invitation to work as a creative copywriter for the game development giant Wargaming. There, he crafted strategies for his native South American market and, as the team’s in-house English specialist, also participated in ad campaigns featuring stars such as Chuck Norris and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Yan now flexes his creative muscles with Vention’s content team, covering fintech, healthcare, data science, game development, and their corresponding technologies. He currently lives in Warsaw.
