Andrei Popov

Andrei Papou, a Machine Learning (ML) Engineering Manager, brings eight years of experience in machine learning and deep learning to Vention. His expertise is all about applying mainstream ML frameworks (PyTorch, Tensorflow) to computer vision and NLP domains. He has a deep understanding of mathematics, statistics, and algorithms. He is currently a group manager of engineers at Vention's Lithuanian office.

Andrei actively engages in the company's corporate culture and takes on a leadership role to generously share his knowledge and expertise with interns and individuals interested in machine learning and Python development.

Andrei regularly takes part in ML competitions on Kaggle and is ranked as top 0.33% with the title of a Competition master.

Andrei earned a Bachelor of science degree in computer systems and networks, all while honing his skills in Python for data science and machine learning. His technical proficiency spans machine learning and deep learning for CV and NLP for various business domains: healthtech, fintech, and GIS.
