A custom solution in under 4 months

Project description
Blockchain expertise is one of the fundamental assets in Vention’s value proposition, so we take every opportunity to improve our mastery of the technology. To that end, we recently launched a company-wide Crypto Challenge that tasked teams from our offices worldwide to create a token for a blockchain-powered employee rewards system.
After a series of ideation and prototyping exercises, our Poland-based team centered its strategy on Avalanche, a decentralized blockchain infrastructure and a high-performance smart contract platform capable of handling thousands of transactions per second.
The solution was to build a bridge that connects our internal achievement platform, Vention Trophy, with public networks like LinkedIn and Facebook. Essentially, once the NFTs for achievements are generated on Trophy, they’re instantly transferred to our external, Avalanche-based blockchain network through smart contracts — and straight to an employee’s preferred social media platform.
Once in the public space, NFTs can be shared with other team members and the wider tech community; this strategy boosts our brand image and helps us reach more potential partners, clients, and employees.
The result
Within just four months, the Poland team developed a robust and scalable Avalanche solution, which gave our internal rewards platform a major blockchain makeover and proved vital in strengthening Vention’s online presence. The engineers also quickly acquired critical new tech skills and explored various blockchain use cases to determine their potential benefits for our clients.
